DENVER — MSU Denver men's basketball delivered its most complete performance of the season Tuesday evening, rolling past Regis 85–68 at the Auraria Event Center in the Roadrunners' "Welcome Back" game. The win marked the largest margin of victory this season for MSU Denver and improved the Roadrunners to 6–11 overall and 4–5 in RMAC play.
MSU Denver set the tone early, shooting efficiently and pushing the pace to build a 43–28 halftime lead. The Roadrunners knocked down nine three-pointers in the opening half and consistently turned defensive stops into transition opportunities, keeping Regis from finding any sustained rhythm.
The Roadrunners never let up after the break, matching Regis point-for-point in the second half while steadily extending the lead. Strong ball movement, balanced scoring, and control of the glass allowed MSU Denver to pull away down the stretch and close out a convincing home victory.
Garrett Falls led the Roadrunners with 15 points, attacking the basket and finishing a perfect 6-for-6 at the free-throw line. Adam "Ace" Hackett added 13 points, his second-highest scoring output of the season, providing a steady presence in the paint and on the boards.
Freshman Caden Holmes continued to show confidence from the perimeter, knocking down three three-pointers on his way to 11 points, while Quave Propst-Allison filled the stat sheet with 11 points and a team-high five assists, orchestrating the offense throughout the night.
The bench provided a major spark, led by freshman Nate Macadory, who scored a career-high nine points while drilling three three-pointers. Fellow freshman Daniel Thomason anchored the interior, pulling down a team-leading six rebounds to go along with his physical presence on both ends of the floor.
With four Roadrunners scoring in double figures, strong shooting from beyond the arc, and control of the tempo from start to finish, MSU Denver turned the Welcome Back game into a statement performance as it continues RMAC play later this weekend against Colorado School of Mines on the road.
