@MSUDenverMBB: Roadrunners Topple Colorado Christian on Senior Day

DENVER — MSU Denver sent its seniors out in winning fashion Saturday afternoon at the Auraria Events Center, pulling away late for a 73-65 victory over Colorado Christian.

With the win, the Roadrunners improve to 9-17 overall and 7-11 in RMAC play, matching the Cougars in the conference standings.

In a game that featured 16 lead changes, neither side could create much separation for most of the afternoon. MSU Denver held a 35-29 advantage at halftime, but Colorado Christian responded in the second half to keep it a one-possession battle deep into the final minutes. The Roadrunners, however, made the key plays down the stretch to seal the Senior Day triumph.

Logan Threatt led the charge offensively, pouring in 21 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He was perfect at the free-throw line, going 5-for-5, and added five rebounds and two assists in a poised all-around performance.

Senior Quave Propst-Allison delivered in the clutch, finishing with 17 points, three steals, three rebounds and a team-high five assists. He came up with timely buckets and knocked down four free throws in the final 29 seconds to put the game out of reach.

Freshman Daniel Thomason filled up the stat sheet with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals, while hitting 2-of-3 from three-point range. Brian Unachukwu controlled the paint defensively, recording a team-high five blocks to go along with eight points and seven rebounds. His presence inside helped MSU Denver outscore the Cougars in the paint and protect the rim in crucial moments.

The Roadrunners capitalized on turnovers throughout the contest, scoring 23 points off Colorado Christian miscues compared to just 13 points allowed off their own. That edge proved decisive in a tightly contested matchup that saw momentum swing back and forth all afternoon.

With a balanced effort and late-game execution, MSU Denver secured a memorable Senior Day victory and will look to carry that confidence into the final weekend of the regular season.
