@MSUDenverMBB: Threatt's Career-High Not Enough as Roadrunners Fall at Home

DENVER – In a high-octane Thursday evening battle that featured a historic milestone and a career-best performance, the MSU Denver men's basketball team fell just short in its final home game of the year, dropping a 94-91 heartbreaker to Colorado School of Mines at the Auraria Events Center.

With the loss, the Roadrunners are now 9-19 overall and 7-12 in RMAC play. The result unfortunately confirms that MSU Denver will miss the RMAC tournament for the first time since the 2018-19 season. Despite the outcome, the Roadrunners showed incredible resilience, battling through 16 ties and 14 lead changes in a game that wasn't decided until the final seconds.

The night belonged to Quave Propst-Allison, who etched his name into the program's record books at the 11:47 mark of the first half. With a crucial bucket, Propst-Allison became the 20th Roadrunner in history to reach 1,000 career points. He finished the night with 20 points and a team-high 4 assists, proving once again why he is a cornerstone of the program.

Joining him in the spotlight was Logan Threatt, who turned in a spectacular, career-defining performance. Threatt exploded for a career-high 28 points while leading the team in nearly every major category, including rebounds (5), steals (3), and three-pointers made (3).

MSU Denver's offense was electric throughout the night, as the team shot an impressive 32-of-60 (53.3%) from the field and a blistering 9-of-15 (60%) from the three-point line. This sharp-shooting allowed five different Roadrunners to reach double digits in scoring:

The Roadrunners held a 41-37 lead at halftime , but the Orediggers found their rhythm in the second half, outscoring MSU Denver 57-50. The game reached a fever pitch in the closing moments when Adam Hackett hammered home a dunk with just 21 seconds remaining to pull the Roadrunners within one at 92-91. However, Colorado School of Mines was able to secure the victory at the free-throw line in the final seconds.

MSU Denver will look to close out the year with a victory as they head to Regis for the season finale this Saturday.
