DENVER — The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that junior pitcher Natalie Romero has been named RMAC Pitcher of the Week following a dominant weekend in the circle.

Romero played a pivotal role in MSU Denver's four-game sweep of Colorado School of Mines softball on the road, appearing in three games and logging 15 total innings. The right-hander tossed two complete games, showcasing consistency and command throughout the series.

She opened the weekend with a strong outing in game one, throwing seven innings while allowing just two runs on four hits and striking out three. Romero was even more impressive in game three, delivering another complete-game performance, surrendering no earned runs on just two hits while carrying a no-hitter into the sixth inning.

Her efforts helped fuel the Roadrunners' current eight-game winning streak, as MSU Denver continues to surge up the RMAC standings.

The Roadrunners will look to keep their momentum rolling later today as they return home for a non-conference doubleheader against the Nebraska Kearney Lopers. MSU Denver enters the day a perfect 12-0 at home, aiming to extend both its unbeaten home record and winning streak.
