DENVER – MSU Denver Roadrunners Athletics announced today that Head Volleyball Coach
Jenny Glenn is departing the program after 10 historic seasons to accept the head coaching position at American University, an NCAA Division I institution competing in the Patriot League.
Glenn leaves MSU Denver following the most successful stretch in program history, highlighted by capturing the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championship just months ago. Her leadership culminated in a landmark season that elevated the Roadrunners to the top of the Division II volleyball world.
"
Jenny Glenn has transformed our volleyball program into a national powerhouse," Director of Athletics
Todd Thurman said. "Her commitment to excellence, competitive drive and care for her student-athletes have left an enduring legacy. While we are saddened to see her go, we are incredibly proud of her and grateful for everything she has accomplished for MSU Denver."
Over 10 seasons at the helm, Glenn compiled a 252-53 overall record and a remarkable 152-10 mark in RMAC play. Her .826 overall winning percentage and .938 conference winning percentage are the highest in program history.
The 2025 campaign stands as the crown jewel of her tenure. Glenn guided the Roadrunners to:
- RMAC Regular-Season Champions
- RMAC Tournament Champions
- NCAA South Central Regional Champions
- NCAA Division II National Champions
The national title marked the first NCAA Division II Volleyball National Championship in program history, and the first volleyball national championship ever won by a Colorado school. It also represented the first national championship for MSU Denver Athletics since 2006 and the fifth national title in department history.
The Roadrunners' 32 victories in 2025 set a new single-season program record, punctuating a year that firmly established MSU Denver as the premier program in Division II volleyball.
Glenn's teams consistently excelled on the court and in the classroom, building a culture defined by discipline, resilience and championship expectations.
Glenn takes over an American University program that finished 24-5 in 2025. The Eagles are coming off three successful seasons under former head coach Ahen Kim, who recently accepted the head coaching position at Duke University heading into the 2026 season.
Former MSU Denver women's basketball coach
Tanya Haave, who currently serves as the Director of Athletics Development for MSU Denver Athletics, will oversee volleyball program operations for the foreseeable future.
MSU Denver Athletics is actively working to identify the next leader of its volleyball program.
