DENVER – MSU Denver Baseball continues to earn recognition on the regional stage, coming in at No. 4 in the latest NCBWA South Central Regional Poll, as released Monday.
The Roadrunners, who hold a 31-7 overall record and a 19-1 mark in RMAC play, remain firmly among the top teams in the region and are the second-highest ranked team in the conference, trailing only Colorado Mesa, which sits at No. 1 in the poll.
MSU Denver has built its ranking on consistent success throughout the season, including a dominant run through conference play. The Roadrunners recently put together a 16-game winning streak, showcasing their depth on both sides of the ball before the streak came to an end with a narrow loss to Colorado Christian on Saturday.
Despite that setback, MSU Denver responded by securing a series victory over Colorado Christian, winning three of four games in a tightly contested matchup where each game was decided by one or two runs.
The latest poll reflects the Roadrunners' sustained excellence, as they hold steady at No. 4 behind Colorado Mesa, UT Tyler and St. Mary's. MSU Denver also sits ahead of several strong programs in the region, reinforcing its position as a key contender as the postseason approaches.
With a combination of momentum, resilience and a strong conference record, the Roadrunners remain well-positioned heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
