DENVER – MSU Denver baseball junior right-hander Jake Syverson has been named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon, following a standout performance in the Roadrunners' series against Colorado Christian.

Syverson delivered a career day in the series opener, tossing a complete nine innings while striking out a career-high 11 batters and allowing just three earned runs. Despite the dominant outing, he did not factor into the decision as the game extended into extra innings.

MSU Denver ultimately secured the victory in dramatic fashion, walking off Colorado Christian in the 10th inning to cap off one of the tightly contested games of the weekend.

Syverson's performance set the tone for a Roadrunners squad that continues to roll through conference play. MSU Denver sits at 31-7 overall and 19-1 in RMAC action, maintaining one of the top records in the region.

The Roadrunners also recently clinched their spot in the RMAC Tournament following their series win over Colorado Christian, further solidifying their position as a conference contender heading into the postseason.

MSU Denver will return to action at home this weekend, hosting CSU Pueblo as the Roadrunners look to build on their momentum and continue their strong stretch heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
