DENVER – MSU Denver women's golf junior Neige Dunn has been selected for an at-large bid to compete as an individual at the NCAA Division II West Regional, marking a historic milestone for the Roadrunners program.
Dunn becomes the first MSU Denver women's golfer to qualify for NCAA Regional competition in a decade, joining Allie Johnston and Cha Cha Willhoite, who last represented the Roadrunners during the 2015-16 season.
"We are so incredibly proud of Neige and excited for her! She has put so much hard work into her game and has earned an opportunity to compete against the best in our region," said head coach Stef Ferguson. "This was one of her goals from the start of the season so we can't wait for her to tee it up next week. It will be a great test and she will be able to showcase all of her efforts this year."
One of just six individuals selected for an at-large spot in the West Regional field, Dunn will compete May 4–6 at the Pueblo Country Club, hosted in Pueblo.
"Qualifying for a regional means everything to me. It's been my goal since the moment I stepped onto campus at MSU Denver, and it represents all the hard work, early mornings, and belief I've put into this journey," stated Dunn. "I'm incredibly honored to represent this university and compete for something bigger than myself. Thank you to everyone who has helped me achieve this goal!"
Dunn's selection comes on the heels of a standout 2025-26 campaign in which she etched her name into the program record book. She finished the season with a 75.5 stroke average—the lowest single-season mark in MSU Denver history—capping her year with a strong showing at the RMAC Championships.
Throughout the season, Dunn consistently led the Roadrunners lineup, recording the three lowest rounds for the team during the 2025-26 campaign. Her top performance came in the fall at the CSU Pueblo Invitational, where she fired a career-best 69 (-2), showcasing her ability to compete at a high level.
Now, Dunn will take that momentum to the national stage, representing MSU Denver among the region's top talent as she competes for a spot at the NCAA Championships.
Her selection not only highlights an exceptional individual season but also signals a major step forward for the Roadrunners program as it returns to NCAA postseason competition.
