MSU Denver Partners with Opendorse to Launch Comprehensive NIL Program

DENVER – Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) has announced a new partnership with Opendorse, the leading NIL technology, data, and service provider, bringing a full suite of resources to Roadrunner student-athletes located on the Auraria Campus in the heart of downtown Denver.

Through this partnership, MSU Denver student-athletes will gain access to a branded NIL Marketplace featuring the university's marks and athlete profiles, giving fans, brands, and local businesses a direct and compliant way to connect with Roadrunners for NIL opportunities at zero marketplace fees. Athletes will also be able to discover, negotiate, and manage deals through a dedicated deal-sourcing platform, complete with tax support resources, backed by hands-on service from the Opendorse team to help source NIL deals on athletes' behalf.

On the education side, Roadrunner student-athletes will have access to on-demand courses, expert-led webinars, and virtual education sessions covering personal finance, brand development, and NIL best practices, along with premium video-based Masterclass and Library content on contracts, marketing, and tax preparation. Opendorse will also provide on-campus education sessions throughout the year, giving student-athletes direct, in-person access to NIL experts alongside the digital resources.

For the MSU Denver athletic department, the partnership means real-time insight into NIL activity, automatic deal disclosure, and reports ready whenever compliance staff need them. A searchable athlete database and content tracking tools give staff an easier way to stay on top of what student-athletes are posting.

"Partnering with Opendorse gives our student-athletes the resources, education and support they need to confidently navigate the evolving NIL landscape," said MSU Denver Director of Athletics Todd Thurman.

"With our location in the heart of downtown Denver and the opportunities that come with being part of such a vibrant community, this partnership will help our Roadrunners build their personal brands and connect with businesses and supporters while continuing to grow as student-athletes."

"MSU Denver's student-athletes are stepping into the NIL space with the same tools used by top programs nationwide," said Jake Daugherty, Director, Collegiate Partnerships at Opendorse. "Being right in the middle of downtown Denver gives the Roadrunners a unique platform to connect with local brands and fans, and we're excited to help them make the most of it."
