DENVER — Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Gennerman was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's first Offensive Player of the Week for the 2026 season Monday afternoon, earning the first weekly conference honor of her career.

Gennerman led the Roadrunners in kills throughout their 3-1 opening weekend at the Bulldog Classic, finishing with 51 kills while hitting an impressive .398 across four matches. She added five service aces, 26 digs and two block assists while helping MSU Denver close the weekend on a three-match winning streak.

Gennerman opened the season with nine kills against No. 10 Ferris State, hitting .250 in the Roadrunners' season-opening loss.

She then turned in one of the weekend's most efficient performances against Purdue Northwest, recording nine kills on 13 attacks without an error for a staggering .692 hitting percentage as MSU Denver swept the Pride.

The sophomore followed that with a season-best 18 kills against Minnesota State, hitting .366 while adding a service ace and a block assist in another Roadrunner sweep.

Gennerman saved another standout performance for the weekend finale, posting 15 kills on .433 hitting against Illinois Springfield while contributing three service aces, eight digs and a block assist to help MSU Denver complete its third consecutive sweep.

Gennerman's 51 kills led all Roadrunners for the weekend, while her .398 hitting percentage highlighted the efficiency that made her one of the conference's top offensive performers in the opening week.

The Roadrunners now return home at 3-1 for the prestigious Colorado Premier Challenge this weekend at the Auraria Event Center, where they will face another challenging field of nationally ranked competition.
