The No. 13 Metro State women's soccer team scored six first half goals and cruised to an 8-0 victory over Adams State, Friday in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play at Auraria Field. The 'Runners improve to 8-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the RMAC, while Adams falls to 1-11 overall and 0-5 in the RMAC.
Becca Mays was again the offensive leader for the 'Runners scoring three goals. Jen Thomas added six points on two goals and two assists. Metro State dominated on offense with 20 shots on goal, compared to just four for Adams State.
Metro State has outscored its last three opponents 18-0. Goalkeeper Becca Maloney was again solid in goal, saving all four shots she faced.
The 'Runners return to action against New Mexico Highlands, Sunday and Noon at Auraria Field.
