The No. 8 Metro State women's soccer team (4-1-1, 1-0 RMAC) began Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play with a 3-0 victory over New Mexico Highlands, Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, NM.
Becca Mays was the offensive star for the 'Runners, recording two assists and a goal in the victory. She assisted Madison McQuilliams for the first goal of the game and then followed with a goal of her own and another assist to Jaimie Stephenson. The 'Runners outshot the Cowgirls, 21-11 and had 18 shots on goal compared the NMHU's four.
MSCD returns to Colorado to take on Colorado School of Mines on Sunday at 12 p.m.
