Setter Gabe Curtis (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley H.S.) had an excellent match for the second day in a row, dishing out 26 assists, while playing just the first two sets.  She had 40 in Saturday's sweep over Colorado Mines.  The Roadrunners hit .400 (31-9-55) in the first two sets and .373 (46-15-83) in the entire match.  Darcy Schwartzman (Aurora, Colo./Eaglecrest H.S.), seeing her first action at setter since early in the season, had 14 assists in the third set.

Amy Watanabe (Littleton, Colo./Heritage H.S.) dug up 23 balls, setting a career high for digs in a three-match set.  Her previous high was 20.

The Roadrunners had a slow start to the first set, trailing 12-11.  But they scored the next five points with Jones serving to take control and finished the first set by scoring 14 of the final 16 points, including the final six with Watanabe serving.  The Roadrunners used eight CSC miscues during that run and hit .407 (15-4-27) in the first set, while the Eagles hit .000 (6-6-29).

The second set saw a much better start for Metro State, but the Roadrunners used another big run of 9-1 after leading 14-9 to take a 23-10 lead.  Jones again served six straight points as Greenhalgh had a pair of kills as well.

Metro State hit .321 (15-6-28) in the final set and used a 10-3 run after trailing 4-0 to take control.

The Roadrunners will travel to UC-Colorado Springs and Colorado Christian next weekend for a pair of matches as they wrap up the regular season on Saturday at CCU.
