PUEBLO, Colo. - The Metro State women's soccer team defeated Colorado State-Pueblo 1-0 on Sunday in Pueblo, Colo.  The Roadrunners improved to 5-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CSUP dropped to 1-3-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the RMAC.

Aleah DeGeneres (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield H.S.) scored unassisted 35th minute for the game's only goal.

Becca Maloney (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy) made three saves in the net to earn the shutout for Metro State.

The Roadrunners outshot the ThunderWolves 13-8, led by Jen Thomas (Aurora, Colo./Greeley West H.S.)' four shot attempts.

Metro State had opportunities to add to the score, recording eight shots on goal, including five in the first half.  The Roadrunners defense limited CSUP to just one shot on goal in the second half, that coming in the 90th minute by Gabby Gonzales.

Metro State will host Fort Lewis on Friday at 1 p.m. at Auraria Field.
