GOLDEN, Colo. -
No. 14 Metro State allowed a goal in each half to fall 2-0 at Colorado Mines on Friday in the final regular season game for the Roadrunners.  The loss dropped them to 12-4-2 overall and 8-4-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CSM improved to 9-5-3 and 8-4-1 in the RMAC.

Metro State is now winless in four trips to Colorado Mines all-time.

Erin Onat scored for the Orediggers in the seventh minute after a failed attempt to clear the ball from the box by the Roadrunners.

Becca Medina (Denver, Colo./Heritage H.S.) had a scoring chance for Metro State in the 33rd minute, but her free kick from just outside the right side of the box missed left.

Kat Murphy scored her first goal of the season for CSM in the 58th minute after taking a long pass from Megan Woodworth and dribbling up the right side.

Medina hit the left post on a free kick in the 67th minute and hit the same post again in the 78th minute on a shot from just outside the top of the box.

Sarah Tanous (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy H.S.) made four saves for the Roadrunners, who were outshot 13-7 in the game.

Metro State will wait until Sunday to find out location for the first round of the RMAC Tournament.  The Roadrunners will face Colorado Mines again on Wednesday, Nov. 3.  A win by the Orediggers on Sunday moves that game to Golden, while a loss or a tie will allow Metro State to host.  In case of a tie, Metro State holds the goal differential tiebreaker.
