Scott Grode (Gilbert, Ariz./Basha H.S.) scored just 16 seconds before halftime, taking a through ball from Josh Buysse (Longmont, Colo./Longmont H.S.) and blistering a shot from the top of the box over CCU goalkeeper David Ingenfritz before he could get his hands up to make the save.
