DENVER - No. 6 Metro State was upset 2-1 at Regis University on Wednesday, scoring its only goal on a penalty kick in the second half. The Roadrunners suffered their first loss of the year, falling to 6-1-0 and 2-1-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while Regis improved 4-3-0 and 1-2-0.
The Rangers took a lead 15 minutes into the game when Taylor White connected on Rachel McMahon's corner kick. Besides the goal, neither team had great scoring opportunities in the first half as shots were limited to long range.

Regis scored the winner at 74:34 when Marissa Davis' pass from the right sideline found Meghan Stuart for a 1-on-1 with goalkeeper
Danielle Quigley (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West H.S.) and dribbled to the center of the box before firing a shot to the upper-right corner.
Quigley made seven saves in the game.
Regis outshot the Roadrunners 17-16.
