MSU went cold in the third thanks to six Mavericks blocks, leading to a .023 hitting percentage for the Roadrunners. Metro trailed 23-14 and ran off seven straight points with Garcia serving again, but CMU pulled through with two more to force a fourth set.
Heath, after hitting -.074 in the first three sets, had five kills and just one error to lead the offense in the fourth. Haun and Quijano each had four kills as well with Metro holding an 18-12 lead at one point.
