Box Score DENVER - The Metro State Women's soccer team tied Regis on Friday afternoon 2-2 at Auraria Field. The tie brought the record for the Roadrunners to 3-1-1 and made the record for the Rangers 2-2-1. It was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Brandi Farley opened the scoring for the Roadrunners in the ninth minute on a shot that came from the top of the box after she received a long pass from
Abby Rolph past the defenders. The goal was Farley's first of the season.Â
The lead stayed at 1-0 for the Roadrunners at halftime. Then in the 48th minute,
Karisa Price scored her seventh goal of the season after making a few dribbles past two defenders before centering the ball in the middle of the goal just outside the box.Â
The Rangers then got on the scoreboard in the 64th minute when Sade Akindele received a pass from Marissa Davis inside the box and turned around quickly and shot the ball past Roadrunner goalie
Jordan Simkins. Akindele then scored her second goal of the game in the 80th minute after she stole the ball in the back half of the field and dribbled the ball past the defenders and goalie Simkins, tying the game.

At the end of the second half, the score was 2-2, sending the game into overtime. The first overtime passed with no goals scored. The second overtime period then ended 10 minutes later to give both teams a tie at 2-2.Â
The tie gave the Rangers goalie Ellen Augsburger a record of 0-2-1 on the season and gave the Roadrunners goalie
Jordan Simkins a record of 3-1-1. Augsburger had 12 saves on the day and Simkins had eight.Â
The Roadrunners will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to Colorado Springs to face UCCS at 2 p.m. The Rangers will be back in action on Sunday at Regis against CSU-Pueblo at 1 p.m.Â
