Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. - No. 2 Colorado Mines remained perfect in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, topping Metro State 3-0 in Golden, Colo., on Wednesday night. The Roadrunners fell to 11-3-3 overall and 9-3-1 in the RMAC with their third straight loss, while CSM improved to 16-0-1 and 13-0-0 in the RMAC.
Colorado Mines is tyring to join Metro State's 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009 squads as the only teams in RMAC history to go undefeated during conference play. The Orediggers finish the regular season at Fort Lewis on Sunday.
Anna Evans scored twice to make her RMAC-leading goal total 12 by the end of the night. She scored at 28:23 off a corner kick and struck a 16-yard shot into the upper-left corner of the net at 65:43.
Evans assisted on Bree Archuleta's goal at 83:32.
Karisa Fernandez (Westminster, Colo./Standley Lake H.S.) made six saves for the Roadrunners, who were outshot 23-9 in the game. Jayln Yates stopped three shots for CSM.
Metro State wraps up the regular season at Western State on Friday.
