Women's soccer: Roadrunners earn scoreless draw with No. 14 DBU

CANYON, Texas - No. 10 Metro State and No. 14 Dallas Baptist played to a scoreless tie on Saturday in Canyon, Texas in women's soccer. MSU Denver fell to 1-0-1 and DBU improved to 0-1-1.

The Roadrunners came through with plenty of scoring chances, but were just unable to put one past goalkeeper Kerry Edwards, who made 10 saves for the Patriots.

The best scoring chance came in the 89th minute when Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) ripped a shot off the crossbar. Price and Brandi Farley (Colorado Springs/Pine Creek H.S.) led the Roadrunners with six shot attempts each as Metro State outshot DBU 20-13.

Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Jablonski (White Lake, Mich./Walled Lake Northern H.S.) made six saves for her second straight shutout to begin her college career.

Metro State returns home on Friday to host No. 20 St. Edward's (Texas) at 1 p.m.
