DENVER - Metro State's men's tennis team fell 8-1 to No. 50 Sonoma State (Calif.) on Sunday at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The Roadrunners fell to 8-8 overall this season, while SSU improved to 9-8.
Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) earned the team's only win, topping Matt Roberts 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Several other matches were very close as
Trevor Jones (Vancouver, Wash./Mountain View H.S.) and
Chris Anderson (El Paso, Texas/Americas H.S.) both fell in three sets in their singles matches and Graetz and
Adrien Delvaux (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound H.S.) fell in a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles.
The Roadrunners will host Lindenwood (Mo.) on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
