Box Score DENVER - Metro State, ranked No. 16 in NCAA Division II, dropped its first exhibition game of the season 1-0 to the United States Air Force Academy on Sunday at Auraria Field. The NCAA Division I Falcons are now 1-1 in exhibitions, while Sunday's tilt was the first for MSU Denver.
Air Force scored the game's only goal at 59:46 when Ally Swift headed in a cross from Bailee Harnett.
Metro State was outshot 15-7 in the game, but goalkeepers
Sam McCurley (Centennial, Colo./Littleton H.S.) and
Raeanna Rosales (Las Cruces, N.M./Las Cruces H.S.) combined for seven saves.
McKinzie Rieber (Highlands Ranch, Colo./ThunderRidge H.S.) led the team with two shot attempts.
The Roadrunners are back in action on Friday at home against Laramie County Community College at 6 p.m. That will be the first women's game ever at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver.
