Men's tennis: Roadrunners split to open 2014-15 season in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. -
Metropolitan State University of Denver men's tennis opened the seaseon with a 7-2 win over Texas-Permian Basin before falling 9-0 to Nebraska-Kearney in Pueblo, Colo., on Friday.

Doubles pairs Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) and Nick Baker (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit West H.S.) at No. 1 and Andrew Haralson (Wichita, Kan./Wichita Northwest H.S.) and Luke Lundstrum (Fayetteville, Ark./Fayetteville H.S.) at No. 3 gave the Roadrunners an early edge against UTPB. MSU Denver won the top five singles matches with Graetz, Baker, Calum Hayes (Leeds, England/Guiseley H.S.), John Qualls (Henderson, Nev./Foothill H.S.) and Sam Stember (Melbourne, Fla./Satellite H.S.).

MSU Denver will host the Roadrunners Invitational next weekend at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver.
