Women's soccer: Farley and Hagenlock provide goals in 2-1 win over DBU

Box Score DENVER - Tess Hagenlock (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman H.S.) and Brandi Farley (Colorado Springs/Pine Creek H.S.) both scored as No. 16 Metropolitan State University of Denver defeated Dallas Baptist 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The Roadrunners improved to 2-0-0, while DBU fell to 0-1-1. It is the fifth time in head coach Adrianne Pietz's five seasons that the Roadrunners have opened the season with two wins.

The Patriots got on the board first, scoring at 6:45 when Jolee Patterson blasted a 35-yard shot out of the goalkeeper's reach. But Hagenlock answered less than a minute later. Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) dribbled deep into the left corner of the box and passed it up to Hagenlock, who shot from 15 yards away to even the score.

Farley broke the tie at 57:25 as her crossing pass from the right corner of the box sailed into the goal towards the far post.

The Roadrunners were able to run out the clock and limit DBU's scoring chances in the final 32 minutes.

Breanna Flores (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) made seven saves in her first career start in goal for MSU Denver.

The Roadrunners will travel to California for two games next weekend against Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
