Box Score Metropolitan State University of Denver defeated Colorado Mesa 3-2 on Sunday in Grand Junction, Colo. The Roadrunners move to 5-3-2 overall and 2-2-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Reigna Banks (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield H.S.) to take an early 1-0 for MSU Denver. Colorado Mesa responded with two goals less than a minute apart in the 31st and 32nd minutes to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. Rieber tied the game at 2-2 in the 56th minute with her second goal of the game. She was assisted on the goal from a pass by freshman
Korena Perales (Aurora, Colo./Eaglecrest H.S.). Banks tallied the game-winning goal in the 64th minute after her shot went through the hands of Colorado Mesa goalkeeper Janelle Richmond-Buccola.

Breanna Flores (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) had four saves. The two goals scored by Rieber and the goal by Banks put the two in a tie for the team lead this season in goals scored.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Sunday, October 11 at 12 noon to take on Regis at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The game against the Rangers will begin a three-game homestand for the Roadrunners.
