ST. GEORGE, Utah - Tyler Trujillo (Denver, Colo./Mullen H.S.) and Will Moats (Boise, Idaho/Boise H.S.) both scored their first career goals to help Metropolitan State University of Denver rally from a one-goal deficit for a 4-1 win over Montana State-Billings on Sunday in St. George, Utah. The Roadrunners improved to 1-1-0 on the season with their first win under head coach Jeremy Tittle, who replaced Ken Parsons in July. MSUB dropped to 0-1-1.

MSU Denver fell behind 1-0 on a penalty kick in the sixth minute. Junior defender Tyler Trujillo (Denver, Colo./Mullen H.S.), who was making the 39th start of his career, scored his first career goal on a header off a cross by Dustin Berg (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County H.S.) in the 29th minute.

The score remained even through halftime until senior Will Moats (Boise, Idaho/Boise H.S.) scored his first career goal, putting in the rebound from 10 yards out after Josh Belfrage (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista H.S.) had a shot blocked a moment before.

Jack Mayfield (Boulder, Colo./Fairview H.S.) and Danny Arrubla (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton H.S.) both scored insurance goals in the final five minutes of the game.

Goalkeeper Hayden Rus (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) made two saves in his first career start. The Roadrunners outshot MSU-Billings 16-to-10.

They host their home opener on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against Newman University (Kan.).
