Denver- Metropolitan State University of Denver men's & women's tennis teams were both defeated at home by St. Mary's (Texas) on Thursday, March 17.

Men's tennis fell by a score of 8-0 to the Rattlers before weather ended the day for both teams. Freshman Marty Lukosiunas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Countryside H.S. (Fla.)) was the only Roadrunner who was able to take their match to three sets, falling to St. Mary's Jose Antelo 6-0, 4-6, 6-2 in No. 3 singles. All three of the doubles matches were closely contested, but St. Mary's would come out on top of all three, 8-6, 9-8. 9-8.

The women's team also had a tough outing, dropping the match 6-0. Senior Kasey Love (Daytona Beach, Fla./Spruce Creek H.S.) had the best performance on the day for the Roadrunners but came up short in No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-4 against Kaylin Kruseman. St. Mary's dominated the doubles competitions, defeating MSU Denver by finals of 8-2, 8-1 and 8-1.

MSU Denver looks to bounce back on Friday, March 18 as they welcome Hawaii Pacific to Denver.
