Denver – The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's tennis team was victorious against Hastings College winning 9-0 on Sunday.
 
"The men came out and took care of business," said head coach Daniel Hangstefer.  "Each guy executed the game plan well."
 
The Roadrunners swept the Broncos at the Regency Athletic Complex in doubles and singles matches.  In singles play, Joey Tscherne (Sylmar, Calif./John F. Kennedy H.S.) earned a victory by defeating Mark Gueswell in the No. 1 singles spot 6-1, 6-1.  Parker Jones (Ogden, Utah/Bonneville H.S.) played three sets to beat Dakota Burn 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 in No. 2 singles.  Porter Emery (Casper, Wyo./San Joaquin H.S. (Calif.)) took down Razvan Dobrin in the No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
 
MSU Denver also picked up victories in doubles play.  Tscherne and Brandon Nachbar (Colorado Springs, Colo./Discovery Canyon Campus) battled against Leland Dexter and Jerod Fox winning by 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles match.  Similar results would follow in the remaining doubles matches as Emery and Keenan Kaltenbacher (Colorado Springs, Colo./The Classical Academy) closed out the day with a victory over Zach Inman and Tanner Sandvick, 8-1 in the No. 3 doubles match.
 
The Roadrunners will host Oral Roberts University at the Regency Athletic Complex on Thursday, April 7 at 2:30 p.m.
