Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's tennis team finished completion at the Air Force Invitational on Sunday.
Adam Rivera (Littleton, Colo./Dakota Ridge H.S.) won his opening match of the day over Air Force's Austin Gula be scores of 6-3, 6-4. Rivera was then defeated by Nico Carpenter from Air Force 6-2, 6-1.
Calum Hayes (Leeds, England/Guiseley H.S.) fell to Mack Galvin from Air Force by scores of 6-1, 6-2. Air Force's Max Olson defeated Hayes in the second match of the day 6-0, 6-1.
Sam Stember (Melbourne, Fla./Satellite H.S.) was defeated by Air Force's David Mottice 6-1, 6-2. Stember faced another member of the Air Force squad, Dillon Launius, and fell 6-2, 6-1.
Keenan Kaltenbacher (Colorado Springs, Colo./The Classical Academy) was edged out by Northern Colorado's Agostin Lombardi by scored of 6-7, 6-1, 6-4. Kaltenbacher fell to Air Force's Santi Garcia 6-4, 6-1.
Garcia also defeated
Nic Atkinson (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Oak Ridge H.S.) 6-1, 6-2. Atkinson then lost to Mottice 6-0, 6-0.
MSU Denver will travel to Grand Junction, Colo. For the Colorado Mesa Duals on October 7-9.
