Denver- The Metropolitan State University of Denver men's and women's tennis teams competed conference foe, Colorado Christian on Thursday, April 13. Both the men and women defeated the Cougars, the men at 8-1 and the women at 7-2.  The women's team clinched the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season title for the first time since 2004.
 
The men's team swept the doubles matches against the Cougars.

2. Hayes/Martinez-Morilla (MSUD) def. Strietelmeier/Gebhart (CCU): 8-4
3. Atkinson/Rivera (MSUD) def. Rold/Searle (CCU): 8-3

 
The Roadrunners won five of the six singles matches on the men's side.

2. Tscherne (MSUD) def. Hoime (CCU): 6-0, 6-1
3. Martinez-Morilla (MSUD) def. Gebhart (CCU): 6-1, 6-3

5. Hayes def. Bell (CSU Pueblo): 6-1, 6-2
6. R. Searle (CCU) def. Rivera (MSUD): 5-7, 6-3, 10-9

On the women's side the Roadrunners swept the double matches.

The women will host Southern Utah Friday, April 14 at the Regency Athletic Complex and the men will host Colorado College on Saturday, April 15.
