COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Air Force earned a 5-2 victory over MSU Denver in a men's tennis exhibition dual Friday night.
Mateo Besada earned a three-set No. 2 singles victory over Mack Galvin, while
Jack McDermott was credited with a 2-6, 6-4, 10-2 (super-set) victory over Jamie Bautista at No. 5. Besada rallied to win his match 1-6, 6-2, 6-2.
Air Force picked up the doubles point with two wins, but the MSU Denver tandem of
Alejandro Martinez-Morilla and
Jordi Ribera combined for a 6-4 win over Galvin and Sean McKendree at No. 3.
MSU Denver, ranked fourth in NCAA Division II's South Central Region by the ITA, returns to Air Force for another exhibition against a Divison I foe on Saturday, when it faces Southern Utah at 3 p.m.
