DENVER – It was seven years ago today, April 13, 2013, that MSU Denver's Darius Reed ran the fastest time in NCAA Division II to that point in the season in the 110-meter hurdles, an Outdoor Championships automatic qualifying time of 13.78 seconds, to set the school record while competing at the Colorado Invitational. Meanwhile, Breanna Hemming won the women's 800 meters in 2:14.70, breaking her own school record by more than two seconds, Janelle Lincks ran the seventh-fastest time in the Division II at that point of the season in the 1,500 (4:38.54, converted to 4:31.90) and Briana Suppes set a still-standing school record in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.55 meters (11 feet, 3 ¾ inches), finishing second overall and first among non-Division I competitors.
 
Those performances highlight our latest installment of "On This Date in Roadrunners History," which looks back at the biggest accomplishments in MSU Denver athletics on that particular calendar day.

1985 – The MSU Denver baseball team earned victories over Denver (5-3) and Regis (7-4). Bob Weber led the 26-23-1 Roadrunners' pitching staff, going 8-3 with a 3.88 ERA and posting five complete games while recording 59 strikeouts in 65 innings.
 
1985 – MSU Denver swept a softball doubleheader from Nebraska-Kearney, 2-1 and 9-8. Kristy Heckman led the Roadrunners at the plate that season, batting .389, while on the mound Liz Miret was 20-11 with a 1.79 ERA.
 
1990 – MSU Denver swept Denver, 6-0 and 17-5 in a baseball doubleheader. Ken Sutton helped pace the 33-18 Roadrunners' offense that season, batting .370 with 12 homers and 48 RBIs.
 
1994 – MSU Denver's men's tennis team defeated Colorado College 8-1 in a dual. Led by Martin Coe (17-4 in singles) and Jake Keller (19-2), who combined to go 17-3 in doubles, the Roadrunners were 15-1 overall and 7-1 in the Colorado Athletic Conference.
 
2002 – The 40^th-ranked MSU Denver women's tennis team defeated UCCS 8-1 and Colorado College 9-0 to wrap up the regular season at 18-4. The win over UCCS gave the Roadrunners a 6-0 mark in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. Jasmon Crabb was 18-2 at No. 1 singles for the team that eventually reached the national quarterfinals.
 
2004 – Blake Eager pitched six scoreless innings and Clint Cleland's three-run homer in the ninth inning provided insurance as MSU Denver defeated Regis 5-0 in baseball.
 
2008 – Ted Jamison struck out nine in 7 2/3 innings to win the opening game and MSU Denver improved to 33-7 overall and 25-3 in the RMAC by sweeping a doubleheader from Colorado School of Mines, 9-3 and 5-2.
 
2009 – Sascha Ruckelshausen (No. 1) and Scott Bradley (No. 3) both won singles matches and the teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles to lead the MSU Denver men's tennis team to a 5-4 dual victory over 29^th-ranked UC San Diego.
 
2012 – Aubree Maul pitched a three-hitter to improve to 14-7 and hit a grand slam, her 11^th homer of the season in a 9-1 win over Adams State in the opening game of a softball doubleheader.
 
2015 – Cha Cha Wilhoite matched her career-best round of 3-under-par 69, which was at the time the school record, in taking a four-stroke lead after the first round of the Maverick Spring Invitational.
 
2019 – Bree Wellington set the school record on the women's high jump with an effort of 1.60 meters (5 feet, 3 inches) at the Mines Kit Mayer Invitational, finishing in third place.
 
2019 – Laney Sheppard hit a third-inning grand slam and Darby McGhee pitched a complete-game two-hitter MSU Denver won the opener of a softball doubleheader against Fort Lewis 8-1 before completing the sweep with a 6-4 win in game two.
 
2019 – TJ Egloff and Zach Sundine each turned in strong six-inning starts to lead MSU Denver to a sweep of a baseball doubleheader with Dixie State, 14-3 and 4-1.
