DENVER – On this date 2014, Nathalie Gallacher became the first medalist in the MSU Denver women's golf program's history, cruising to a nine-stroke victory at the Maverick Spring Invitational in Grand Junction, Colo. Gallacher shot a 1-over-par 73 each day to finish at 2-over 146 while leading the Roadrunners to a second-place team finish. It was the program's first season of competition.
That performance highlights our latest installment of "On This Date in Roadrunners History," which looks back at the biggest accomplishments in MSU Denver athletics on that particular calendar day.

2018 – Trent Maloney hit a three-run homer in the top of the 10
th inning and Sean Kennedy added a solo blast later in the frame as MSU Denver, after giving up a run in the bottom half of the inning, earned a 10-7 baseball victory over UCCS.
2018 – Darby McGhee pitched a two-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in the opener and Kylee Burnside followed with a six-hit shutout in the nightcap as MSU Denver swept Chadron State by identical 3-0 scores in a softball doubleheader.
2017 – Javi Vega gave up two first-inning runs, then held UCCS to three hits the rest of the way in MSU Denver's 4-2 baseball victory.
2011 – Bradshaw Perry twirled a complete-game, four-hit victory as MSU Denver defeated New Mexico Highlands 2-1 in a nine-inning game that lasted 1 hour, 50 minutes, the program's fastest game since 2002.
2006 – Braden Ham and Ryan Bright combined to shut out host Regis on nine hits over 16 innings as MSU Denver swept a baseball doubleheader, 1-0 and 5-0. Ham gave up five hits in the seven-inning opener, while Bright allowed just four hits while striking out six in the nine-inning second game.
2004 – The MSU Denver women's tennis team defeated Fort Hays State 7-0 in an RMAC dual, en route to a 6-0 mark in league play. Led by Rebecca and Jessica Meares, the Roadrunners also saw Natalie Ilott and Mercedes Pollmeier combine to go 13-8 at No. 2 doubles.
2003 – The MSU Denver men's tennis team that finished 6-0 in RMAC play and eventually reached the NCAA Tournament, defeated Colorado School of Mines 8-1. The NCAA Sweet 16 team (17-4 overall) had six players win between 15 and 12 singles matches. Magnus Bohman was 15-5 at No. 1.
2000 – The MSU Denver men's tennis team defeated Nebraska-Kearney 5-4. Eventually an NCAA Tournament team, the Roadrunners' leaders included Peter Lantz and Michael Judd, but Oliver Breustedt was reliable at No. 6 singles, going 20-4 overall and 16-4 at No. 6.
1998 – MSU Denver swept a baseball doubleheader from Nebraska-Kearney, 5-2 and 8-5. Josh Castro paced the hitters for that Roadrunners team with a .344 average, while Kevin Watson was 7-2 with a 3.38 ERA on the mound.
1986 – The MSU Denver baseball team swept a doubleheader from Regis, 11-7 and 8-7. Todd Vaughan was one of the offensive leaders for that team, batting .359 with a team-best 15 homers to go with 50 RBIs.
