DENVER – MSU Denver Director of Athletics
Todd Thurman has announced that
Bailey Patterson has been hired as the department's director of marketing, sponsorships and fan engagement.
The director of marketing, sponsorships and fan engagement creates sponsorship packages and develops partnerships with corporations and organizations, which includes identifying potential sponsors, soliciting sponsorships, and the execution of sponsorship agreements. The position is also responsible for the execution of marketing efforts and promotions on game day. And the position is also responsible for creating content (written, video, and graphic) for MSU Denver Athletics, including the pursuit and development of new strategies for digital and social communication.
Patterson had been the student director of social media for MSU Denver Athletics since June, 2020.
In that role, she was responsible for curating social media posts across the MSU Denver Athletics Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages, as well as for creating graphics for game days, student-athlete awards, new student-athlete signings and other social media opportunities. She coordinated her activities with other members of the external operations staff as well as the university's social media staff. Patterson also managed other student assistants working with MSU Denver Athletics and was part of game-day operations in a variety of roles.
Born and raised in Broomfield, Colo., Patterson grew up with her four older sisters, Delaney, Ashley, Megan and Katie, and parents Linda and Kevin. Coming from a big basketball family, Patterson also has a special place in her heart for MSU Denver after her aunt, Mary Henry (now Mary McMahon), played for the women's basketball team from 1992 through 1995.
Patterson graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 grade-point average from MSU Denver in May 2021, ith a degree in technical communications and a minor in sport media.
