DENVER – Alejandro Jimenez and Riley Peterson advanced to the C Draw final on the men's and women's sides, respectively, to highlight MSU Denver's performances Sunday during the final day of its own MSU Denver Invitational.
 
Jimenez earned his third singles win in two days with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the semifinals before falling 2-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-5) in the final. Peterson likewise improved to 3-0 by winning her semifinal match 6-4, 6-3 before falling 6-1, 6-0 in the finals.
 
"Overall it was a positive tournament for both our teams," MSU Denver coach Josh Graetz said. "We were able to play a lot of matches against quality opponents."
 
MSU Denver men's singles players posted a mark of 4-2 Sunday – including two wins for Dayton Fisher in the C backdraw – while the women were 2-4. In doubles, the Roadrunners' men were 2-3 and the women went 1-3.
 
"We have learned some lessons that will help us as we move into dual play," Graetz said.
