EDMOND, Okla. -- Coming off its championship in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament, the MSU Denver women's basketball team has received a season-high eight poll points in the national D2SIDA Division II Top 25 poll.
MSU Denver, 22-8, is tied for 33rd among teams receiving votes in the poll conducted by Division II sports information directors.
The Roadrunners are set to play in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Tournament at the South Central Regional on Friday at 6:30 p.m. MST. The fifth-seeded Roadrunners will face fourth-seeded Texas Woman's in a neutral-site game in Canyon, Texas.
Texas Woman's, which is 32nd among teams receiving votes in the national poll with 10 points, edged MSU Denver 86-84 in triple overtime in a game Nov. 13.
