GOODYEAR, Ariz. – The MSU Denver women's golf team matched its first-round score of 314 but slid four spots to finish 22
nd Saturday on the final day of the RJGA Palm Valley Classic.
The Roadrunners were one stroke away from finishing in a 19
th-place tie, three strokes from tying for 18
th and four strokes from finishing alone in 18
th.
Isabel Botero backed up her career-best opening-round 74 with a 6-over-par 78 to finish tied for 38
th overall in the 146-player field at 8-over.
Winnie Shaw shot 79 Saturday to finish tied for 72
nd at 13-over, and
Mackenzie Carpenter shot 4-over Saturday to finish at 19-over. The Roadrunners' fourth finisher Saturday was
Courtney Lawler, who settled for an 81 after standing 3-over for the day with five holes to play.
As with Friday's opening round, the Roadrunners weren't quite able to finish off a strong round, with the top four players finishing a combined 13-over for the final five holes.
MSU Denver stays in Arizona for a tournament in Tucson hosted by West Texas A&M on Monday and Tuesday.
