DENVER – Metropolitan State University of Denver Director of Athletics Todd Thurman has announced that 106 MSU Denver student-athletes have been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the 2022 spring semester.
 
Student-athletes are recognized with honor roll distinction for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. MSU Denver had 232 student-athletes enrolled for the spring semester, and they compiled an overall GPA of 3.23 – which is .03 higher than in the fall, when a record 118 made the honor roll.
 
Highlighting the award winners are 26 who earned perfect 4.0 GPAs.
 
Those with 4.0 GPAs in the spring were: baseball players Brady Mello, Conner Nantkes, Tyler Phillips and Zane Schmidt; men's cross country and track & field athletes Justin McDaniel and Peter Speier; men's soccer players Bryson Chiles, Tariq Guidry, Noah Hannula, Ross Miller and Gianni Steijlen; women's basketball players Anais Bonnemaison and Alex Carlton; women's cross country and track & field athletes Jocelyn Korbe, Graciela Leal and Heidi Yagen; women's soccer players Kailey Maness, Jessica Mooney, Riley Ostler, Jaimy Sawaged and Elli Zimmer; softball players Audrey Burt, Rebecca Gonzales and Shelby Robb; women's tennis player Kayla Myburgh; and volleyball player Abbie McCrimmon.
