DENVER – MSU Denver Athletics are back and ready to roll for the 2022-23 seasons.

MSU Denver kicks off the fall sports season Thursday night at 7 p.m. as the Roadrunners volleyball team, ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II, plays in a tournament at Cal State San Marcos.

On Friday, the Roadrunners' women's soccer team plays at Simon Fraser (B.C.).

But the big reveal, also Friday, is when the men's soccer team shows off the newly refurbished Assembly Athletic Complex – with new turf and new lights – in a 7 p.m. game against San Francisco State.

"We're so excited to have our fans come back and have a great time while supporting our student-athletes," said
Todd Thurman, MSU Denver's director of athletics. "Our outdoor complex is one of the best in the country and it looks brand-new again. The COVID restrictions of the past couple of years are behind us and we're ready to move forward and showcase our outstanding programs."

The volleyball team plays its first matches at the Auraria Event Center – which has also undergone a resurfacing – on Sept. 2, playing nationally-ranked opponents Angelo State (Texas) and Northwest Missouri State at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.

Also that night, the women's soccer team plays its home opener against St. Edward's (Texas) at 6 p.m.

The atmosphere at home events will be high energy. Fan experience at the Assembly Athletic Complex also includes a high-quality concession stand that includes offerings from Tivoli Brewing Company.

Red & Blue Fund members are eligible for other
in-game perks.
Season- and single-game tickets are also available.

The women's golf program doesn't have any home tournaments this season, but has tournaments scheduled in the Denver area on Sept. 6 and Sept. 12-13.
