BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Vaijayanti Bharkhada and
Isabel Botero are both in the top 10 individually and MSU Denver is fifth in the team race after the first day of the RMAC Championship.
Bharkhada played the final 12 holes at even par to finish the day tied for eighth at 1-over 73, while Botero led through eight holes at 3-under before winding up tied for 10
th at 2-over.
"V had a great round today and an awesome finish," MSU Denver coach Stef Ferguson said. "She's in a great spot going into the next two rounds. Isa, minus one hole, played solid golf as well. She's hitting the ball well and just needs to keep it going."

th, while
Winnie Shaw and
Mackenzie Carpenter are among the group tied for 36
th at 9-over.
As a team the Roadrunners scored 19-over 307. They're two strokes out of fourth, five out of third and seven out of second.
"We aren't in a bad spot, but we need to tighten things up and eliminate more of the mistakes tomorrow," Ferguson said.
The second round of the three-day tournament starts Monday at 11 a.m. MDT.
