GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado School of Mines scored four early runs in each game and knocked off MSU Denver with a pair of 7-2 victories in a softball doubleheader sweep on Friday.
Mines scored a run in the first inning and three more in the second in the opener, then road reigning Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week Sadriena Rodriguez (9-2) the rest of the way.

Hannah DiFabio each had two of MSU Denver's four hits.
The Orediggers then scored four first-inning runs to take control of the nightcap as the Roadrunners were once again limited to five hits.
"We didn't show up today and Mines outplayed us in every aspect of the game," MSU Denver coach
Annie Van Wetzinga said. "If you want to be contender, and if you want to be successful, you need to be a team that shows up."
The Roadrunners dropped to 25-14 overall and 21-7 in the RMAC.
The teams wrap up their series with a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
