Box Score 2 ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – MSU Denver tested nationally ranked teams from Northwest Missouri State on Friday, with the Roadrunners' men dropping a 4-1 decision to their 20
th-ranked opponent that was closer than the final score indicates, and the women falling 4-0 to the No. 16 Bearcats.

Alejandro Jimenez taking a 7-6 (4) decision at No. 2 to clinch after

Juho Kantola won 6-3 at No. 1.
In singles, the Roadrunners were in a position to win on four courts, with Kantola (No. 2), Jimenez (No. 3) and Jalalian (No. 4) all winning the opening set, and Auzias leading 5-1 in the second set after dropping the first.
But Northwest Missouri State rallied for wins at Nos. 1, 3 and 4, with the wins at 3 and 4 coming in 10-point supersets.

The Roadrunners were defeated in straight sets in singles at Nos. 4, 5 and 6, though Hafner was leading her match at No. 1 when the dual was clinched.
MSU Denver is right back at it Saturday, with 1 p.m. CST duals at Washburn (Kan.). The Washburn men are ranked No. 15, while the women are No. 9.
