GOLDEN, Colo. — The MSU Denver Roadrunners track and field programs completed the RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Kenny Greene led the way for the Roadrunners with a pair of second place finishes. He found himself on the podium for the 200 and 400 meter races. Greene set personal bests and program records in both events, with a time of 20.68 in the 200 and a time of 46.89 in the 400.
"He's [Kenny] a hard worker," head coach Janis Christopher stated. "He's one of the fastest men to ever run in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and he's the fastest male athlete I have ever coached."
Odone Omofoma set a new school record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.66 seconds.
Isaiah Williams claimed the other second place finish on the day for MSU Denver, with a best of 1.99 meters in the men's high jump.
"I thought Isaiah was fantastic," Christopher noted. "He's such a humble person or ever get too excited. It's always fun to see someone that works hard, keeps their head down, and stay humble."
Naleia Sowell rounded out the podium finishes for the Roadrunners, securing a third place finish in the 400 meter race with a time of 55.55, another personal best.
"I saw a lot of heart out of her [Naleia]," Christopher said. "It's been a fun ride and really great watching her grow and accomplish things that I don't think anyone else thought would be possible and she's a great girl."
