COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Both the MSU Denver men's and women's cross country teams have been picked to finish ninth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in the league's annual preseason coaches' poll.
Last season the MSU Denver men finished seventh at the RMAC Championships, while the women placed eighth.
The women's team had two members earn RMAC Second Team All-Conference with their performances last fall.
Mia Salas placed 13th overall in the 6,000-meter race in a time of 20:40.9.
Marin Smith was 22nd in the race after posting a time of 21:15 .7.
The men's squad saw sophomores
Jordan Duran and
Jonathan Duran lead the Roadrunners across the finish line.
Jordan Duran placed 34th (25:20.4) and
Jonathan Duran placed 42nd (25:41.6) overall in the 8,000-meter race.
MSU Denver men's and women's cross country teams will open the season on Saturday, September 6, at the UCCS Rust Buster.
