SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – MSU Denver women's golf holds the top spot on the leaderboard after the first round of the Westminster Wasatch Invitational, played Sunday at Glenmoor Golf Course.
The Roadrunners carded a team score of 302 (+14) for their best round of the young season, giving them a six-shot lead over second-place Westmont in the 11-team field. The tournament will conclude with round two starting tomorrow morning.
Izabella Pesicka paced MSU Denver with a 1-over-par 73, the best individual round this year by a Roadrunner, and good enough for the top spot among all participants.
Sophomore Ainsley Stover followed Pesicka closely with a 74 (+2), slotting in sixth overall after day one. Neige Dunn added a 76 (+4), and Rien Solodan and Lauren Mack each turned in rounds of 79 (+7) to round out the balanced effort. All five Roadrunners finished inside the top-25 individually.
