DENVER — The schedule has shifted once again for the MSU Denver softball team's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opener against Fort Lewis, as continued weather complications have altered travel plans for the Skyhawks.
Because incoming conditions are now restricting Fort Lewis College from making the trip to Denver as originally planned, the four-game series at the Assembly Athletic Complex has been moved to Sunday and Monday.
The teams will now open the series with a doubleheader Sunday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., followed by another doubleheader Monday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The series was initially slated for Friday and Saturday before being pushed to the weekend due to projected weather in the Denver area. With travel concerns now impacting the Skyhawks, the adjustment ensures the full conference set can still be completed under safer conditions.
This matchup marks the first RMAC series of the 2026 campaign for MSU Denver, which enters league play looking to build momentum on its home field.
