DENVER – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Monday afternoon that MSU Denver Roadrunners forward Keira Mitchell has been named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Mitchell anchored a dominant defensive effort as the Roadrunners secured back-to-back victories over Colorado State University Pueblo and Colorado Christian University, stretching their winning streak to five games. The pair of wins marked MSU Denver's fourth and fifth straight triumphs, highlighted by a Senior Day celebration Saturday against Colorado Christian.

Over the weekend, Mitchell totaled nine blocks and three steals, once again controlling the paint on both ends of the floor. She added 13 rebounds and 10 points across the two games, providing a steady inside presence while altering countless shots.

Her impact was especially felt in Saturday's win over Colorado Christian, where she recorded five blocks and two steals, helping the Roadrunners pull away with timely defensive stops. In the tightly contested matchup against CSU Pueblo, Mitchell's rim protection proved critical in preserving the victory down the stretch.

For the season, Mitchell continues to set the defensive standard in the conference. She leads the RMAC with 46 total blocks and is averaging a staggering 3.3 blocks per game. She has recorded at least two blocks in nine consecutive games, showcasing remarkable consistency and timing as one of the league's premier interior defenders.

The weekly honor further cements Mitchell's role as the backbone of a surging Roadrunners squad as MSU Denver heads into the final stretch of conference play riding its longest winning streak of the season.
