PUEBLO, Colo. – The MSU Denver Roadrunners women's golf opened play at the Southern Colorado Open on Sunday at Walking Stick Golf Course, finishing round one in ninth place with a team score of 316 (+28).
Leading the way for MSU Denver was Izabella Pesicka, who carded a 77 (+5) to pace the lineup. Pesicka put together a balanced round with a 38 on the front nine and a 39 on the back, positioning herself well heading into the final day.
Neige Dunn followed closely with a 78 (+6), highlighted by a steady front nine, while Lauren Mack added an 80 (+8), using a pair of birdies to stay within striking distance.
Jordyn Horsley posted an 81 (+9), showing consistency throughout her round, and Rien Solodan rounded out the scoring with an 87 (+15).
With several players clustered near the middle of the leaderboard, the Roadrunners remain in position to make a move on day two.
MSU Denver will return to Walking Stick Golf Course on Monday to wrap up the Southern Colorado Open.
