@MSUDenverBSB: Red and Blue Complete Sweep Over Adams State, Extend Winning Streak to 10

DENVER — MSU Denver baseball kept its dominant RMAC run rolling Sunday afternoon, erupting for a 15-3 victory over Adams State to complete the sweep and extend its winning streak to 10 games.

The Roadrunners, now 24-6 overall and a perfect 12-0 in RMAC play, had to respond early after Adams State struck first with a three-run homer in the opening inning. That momentum didn't last long.

MSU Denver flipped the game on its head with a massive nine-run second inning, sparked by patience and timely hitting. Brooks Rasmussen got the Roadrunners on the board with a bases-loaded walk, before River Jackson delivered a two-RBI double off the wall to tie the game at 3-3. Moments later, Royce Vandine crushed a three-run homer to right-center, giving the Roadrunners a lead it would never relinquish at 6-3.

The inning kept rolling as Brayden Oram added an RBI double to make it 7-3, and Luka Ruljancich followed with a two-RBI single to stretch the lead to 9-3.

MSU Denver didn't slow down from there. In the third inning, Vandine drove in another run with a single, Alek Martinez lifted a sacrifice fly to make it 11-3, and Oram added an RBI single to push the advantage to 12-3. Vandine capped his huge day in the fourth with a two-RBI single, extending the lead to 14-3.

On the mound, Drew Peters (2-0) earned the win in relief, delivering three shutout innings while allowing just three hits and striking out four to stabilize the game after the early deficit. Nolan Livsey started and allowed three runs over three innings, while Mason Oakley closed things out with a scoreless seventh. Adams State's Joseph Marek (3-4) took the loss after being tagged for nine runs in just 1.2 innings.

The Roadrunners' offense was relentless, piling up 15 runs on 15 hits. Vandine led the charge with a monster performance, going 4-for-5 with six RBIs and two runs scored. Martinez was perfect at the plate, finishing 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, while Jackson went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs.

Oram reached base consistently, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two walks, and three RBIs, and Ruljancich added a 2-for-3 effort with two RBIs and a run scored. Marques Abulhosn contributed with a hit, two runs, and two walks.

With the win, MSU Denver not only secured the series sweep but continued its perfect run through conference play, firmly establishing itself as one of the top teams in the RMAC as the season rolls on.
